“ This is a fun, casual place where you order and find a table yourself. The lobster roll was super duper fresh. I highly recommend the combo so you can get a scrumptious meal. Everything came out very fast. The clam chowder was not the best I've had but it was still tasty. Overall I just wish there were more places to sit. ”

I had to sneak it in one more time before we left, I told my family I was going shopping on Newbury, but I actually came here. I had my first lobster roll in the downtown crossing location and had to try this location too. Luke's is the only gluten free lobster roll I found, and it is the BEST fluffy buttery gluten free bread I've ever had. I think the downtown crossing GF bread was slightly better (it was the way it was buttered/prepared), but the lobster roll I had here was also 10/10. The lobster bisque was also 10/10. ”

They also have clam chowder and lobster bisque. The lobster roll, which comes in three sizes, is served on a toasted brioche roll. The lobster was very fresh, cold, tasty and the sauces complimented it well. The lobster bisque was a bit disappointing because the bottom of the bowl had a different flavor than the top. No one told me to stir it. Well priced for what you get. While there's a various options so, for example, you can taste more seafood in 2 oz portions. While there's a tablet for ordering, it was a slower time, so the staff just walked me through the options. Once you order, you select your chips and soda and wait to be served. The setting is informal with a much needed container of napkins on each table. The decor has a beach shack feel, simple, almost fast food like ambiance. Once finished, you divide up your trash for recycling. Very much worth trying! Very good informal meal. Just if you get the lobster bisque, stir it. ”

I am not a lobster guy, so I loved the fact that there is a crab roll on the menu. The crab was fresh and good, and the roll soft and buttery. I also got a cup of clam chowder, which was also good. “ A fun way to enjoy lobster rolls - Luke's Lobster was recommended by many people on my trip to Boston so I wanted to stop by. I was curious to try the crab rolls, which I loved MORE than the lobster roll! Ordered the lobster & crab roll Luke's way (mayo, butter, lemon) and it was perfectly seasoned - not too heavy on the flavors. The buttered roll was sooo delicious and make sure to dip in the clam chowder. Clam chowder is classic, with more potatoes than clams...but def order as part of the combo set. It's a fast casual type restaurant - you order and pick your chips/drink, servers were friendly and restaurant is chill and open! Lots of solo diners hopping in for lunch, and I enjoyed the solo experience! ”
“ Lobster, lobster and lobster. We couldn't get enough. The sample was the way to go, 3 sandwiches each with different flavors. I loved the truffle butter and the lemon butter the most. We ordered them cold but next time I would like to try them warm. Luke's is a quick place to grab a great bite to eat. Just order at the counter and shortly later they call your name. The lobster is delicious, large pieces - tasty and amazing. The clam chowder was lite on clams and the broth wasn't thick and rich but more diluted. We sat looking outside watching people walking by. ”
